Sharon is a TMS Consultant/Principal and is a seasoned clinician and medical and disability management consultant with over 25 year’s experience specializing in employee health and wellness for the workplace.  

Prior to forming TMS with her partner, Sharon was Vice President/Senior Clinical Consultant for an internationally recognized risk and insurance firm. Previous to that her experience included positions at the director level for a disability management organization and senior consultant for a workers’ compensation consulting organization. As an independent consultant, Sharon previously owned and operated a workers’ compensation and health promotion consulting organization. 

Sharon’s expertise has included services for both the private and public sectors. She is particularly conversant with the retail, healthcare, utilities, transportation, manufacturing, financial, entertainment and managed care industries. Her scope of services includes employee healthcare and disability benefits planning focused on integrated absence management, worker’s compensation managed care, occupational health programs and services, case management/utilization review, medical provider networks, disease management, health promotion planning and workplace fitness.

Sharon is a registered nurse and advanced practice-nurse practitioner, with a Masters of Science in Public Health Nursing and Occupational Health from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern University, Chicago, IL. Sharon is a Certified Occupational Health Nurse-Specialist (COHN-S).

She is a published author, presents nationally on a variety of disability management issues and, is an active member of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) and the Disability Management Employers Coalition (DMEC) having served as an officer for each of these organizations.
