Donna Townsend, RN, BSN, CPDM, PHN

Donna is a TMS consultant/Principal. She is a seasoned clinician and medical and disability Management consultant. Donna has over 20 year of experience in healthcare and medical/ disability management.

Prior to forming TMS with her partner, Donna was Vice President of Operations for a nationally recognized Medical and Disability Management firm. Before that she was a Senior Consultant for an internationally recognized brokerage firm in Risk Consulting and earlier served as an Operations Director of a national Healthcare organization responsible for management of employee healthcare services both large and middle market companies.

Donna’s client experience includes, but is not limited to, retail, manufacturing, utilities, entertainment, healthcare, insurance and technology. She has participated in a number of managed care projects, including setting up models for on-site, in house and virtual medical management programs.

Donna is a Registered Nurse, a Certified Professional in Disability Management, Public Health and received a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from California State University of Los Angeles. She is currently working towards a Master of Business Administration in Healthcare.

Donna is an active member of the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses (AAOHN) and the Disability Management Employers Coalition (DMEC) and regularly presents for each of these organizations at regional and national seminars. To assure expertise in consulting for her areas of specialty Donna continues active practice in Emergency and Occupational Medicine.
